Mentoring
I love mentoring and training people and get great pleasure when working with people to enable them to get the best out of their photography.
The mentoring sessions are tailored to the individual or small group, so whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned professional. I can also offer you a bespoke package.
BACKGROUND
I have been a photographer for 15 years and have also worked within the arts education system, delivering workshops on many subjects and running training sessions, and talks for many years and I am a very experienced mentor/teacher. I strongly believe that given the space, the right guidance and learning through the practice, you will be able to achieve amazing things. What I can do is guide you through the practical ways that will enable you to go on and achieve your photographic goals.
I can offer you my unique guidence on portrait photography, personal projects, promoting your work, editing and developing your series, getting you work out there- exhibiting work, and sharing your work with national media. I will work with you in such a way that will enable you to realise your potential, or at the very least leave you feeling inspired and excited and ready to try out your new found skills and knowledge. I will work with you, to enable you to reach your potential.

Absolute Beginner
Learn how to use your camera fresh out of the box, and the basics of taking great photographs –all done in a practical and inspiring way.
Improving your photography
Learning new techniques and how to get the most from your camera, and playing with different techniques . Switching on to manual!
Portraiture
What goes into taking a really powerful portrait? Connecting, composition, lighting, natural and studio. On location or studio.
Lifestyle
How to take great family, documentary, portraits or advertising photographs. Telling a story through photography - and also documenting your own life in a beautiful way.
The Photo-session/sitting!
A practical Session exploring the skillset require to set up and direct your own photo-session successfully
Personal Projects
Developing a personal project from scratch. Looking in detail at an ongoing project, and how to develop it further. Exploring what story you want to tell, and the ways to tell it. Developing your work, how to get it out there, and the potential different outcomes.
It’s Up To You!
I will create a session based upon an in depth consultation with you. You decided what you would really like to focus on, and what skills you would like to develop. Then we do it!
Investment
£100 Per hour *
Zoom Sessions
- Can be taken as one Hour individual sessions.
- Series 6 one hour zoom mentoring sessions for the cost of 5.
In person - Minimum two hours.
Inperson/Studio/Onlocation
- Half Day : £300 (One to One)
- Full Day : £500 (One to One)
Two People
- Half day £250 each
- Full Day £300 each
Three People
- Half Day £200 each
- Full day £250 each
Included is in depth consultation prior to each mentoring session and refreshments if in person
If a shoot is included there may be an increase in fee to cover models.
